
Avery Soto
Actor
Avery Soto is a Haitian-Puerto Rican actress based in Brooklyn, New York. She trained
in drama at Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School for the Performing Arts.
Avery’s earliest experience performing began with the Brooklyn Youth Chorus, where
she developed a deep appreciation for ensemble work and the transformative power of art and
performance. A classically trained vocalist with over a decade of experience and a background
in choral music, she has gone on to collaborate with The New York Philharmonic Orchestra, and
Grammy award-winning band The National. Through this work, she cultivated a lasting love for
contemporary classical music.
During her time at Brooklyn College, Avery has appeared in numerous productions,
including a main stage production of Macbeth, Flex, Indecent, and a student-led production of
Stop Kiss. Driven by a deep curiosity about human behavior, Avery approaches her craft
through the lens of psychology and philosophy, striving to uncover the humanity in every
character she portrays. She’s especially drawn to character-driven storytelling and finds
inspiration in comedic series like The Office and Psych.
