Frances Porter
Frances Porter is a classically trained actress who recently performed as Eurydice in a production of the play Eurydice by Sarah Ruhl. She has been in several short films since moving to New York, working with students in a variety of institutions such as NYU, Parsons, and Pratt, and she has been in three plays while attending Brooklyn College.
Frances will be receiving her Bachelor in Fine Arts Degree from Brooklyn college in 2025. Frances graduated from a Performing Arts high school in North Carolina and in 2019 won the award for outstanding actress at NCTC regionals performing as Clara in 33 Variations.
Frances has been part of two new play readings at Lincoln Center in the past year and is in the process of creating her own short film called TV Girl that she wrote with her collaborator Manaal Shareh.
Frances is a writer, favoring poems, short stories, and scripts. She is a musician and singercomposing on piano and guitar. She has a deep passion for comedy and improv. She looks forward to continuing to create as much art as she can throughout the rest of her life.
